Nothing beats the original. Nevertheless, there are countless applications in which the reproduction of artworks is desired or even necessary. Repro-photography is a method of reproduction technology to faithfully reproduce the artwork at hand. In this way, high-resolution digital images of your templates are created by photographic means, which, in addition, are ideally suited for our Gicl\u00e9e FineArt prints.<\/p>\n

REPRO-PHOTOGRAPHY AT OFFICINA FOTOGRAFICA<\/h2>\n

OPTIMAL ILLUMINATION OF THE ORIGINAL<\/h3>\n

We guarantee that the colours and contrasts of your artwork are reproduced as true to the original as possible. To ensure this, we use a repro-table for templates with a format up to DIN A2 on which the original is placed. The object is photographed from above. The camera is mounted on the tripod, and two fixed flashes enable the work to be illuminated evenly and eliminate disturbing reflections on the photograph.<\/p>\n

Even large-format paintings up to 120 x 180 cm can be photographed in high-end quality. Various flash systems in the photo studio ensure optimal illumination of the picture objects.<\/p>\n

FAITHFUL COLOUR REPRODUCTION<\/h2>\n

We use a colour wedge and a grey wedge for reproduction, which serve as a colour and greyscale reference. This enables us to optimise the colour of the created image for the reprint and guarantees you an authentic colour reproduction of the original.<\/p>\n

The amount of data obtained guarantees an excellent quality of the printed product, which meets the high demands of artists, galleries, and museums. With this amount of data, you can, for example, have editions of your template reproduced in any size, format, and on any material. The reproductions are, for instance, ideal for further processing on our FineArt papers from HAHNEM\u00dcHLE.<\/p>\n

REPRODUCTION PHOTOGRAPHY FOR ARTISTS, GALLERIES AND MUSEUMS<\/h2>\n

Reproduction photography has many possible applications. In addition to recording the condition of the object and the documentation for a catalogue raisonn\u00e9, reproduced paintings can be used in catalogues and for editions. For instance, artists can have editions of their originals made, which they can then sell \u2013 for example, in other formats.<\/p>\n
