Your photo print behind glass – a highlight with impressive colour saturation
We offer you the professional finishing of your photo behind colour-neutral glass in gallery quality. This is what we call ‘GlasArt’, a genuine premium product. There are hardly any disruptive reflections in the anti-glare version, and the photograph is optimally protected against UV light.
With our exclusive FineArt prints, laminated behind white glass, Officina Fotografica distinguishes itself from many other suppliers, as each refinement is individually completed by hand and custom-made.
HOW IS YOUR PHOTO PUT BEHIND GLASS?
The photo is not printed directly onto the glass but onto special FineArt paper, which is particularly suitable for use behind white glass.
After printing, the giclée print is sealed permanently, bubble-free and without cracks under colour-neutral glass using a special silicone. You will receive your artwork with a 1.5 mm aluminium support plate attached to the back for additional stabilisation. You can also attach your work directly to the wall through the montage of an aluminium profile rear frame.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF LAMINATING UNDER GLASS?
- Photos behind real glass are scratch-resistant
- The use of white glass guarantees colour neutrality
- Photos behind glass are, in contrast to the lamination under acrylic glass, resistant to external environmental influences and distortion-free.
- Our product complies with fire protection regulation A1 (DIN EN 13501-1) and is therefore suitable for use in public areas such as airports.
- Our version with anti-reflective museum glass has a residual reflection of only 0.6%.
- The glass can be easily cleaned with standard glass cleaner.

REFINEMENT UNDER GLASS – THE HIGHEST STANDARDS FOR THE HIGHEST DEMANDS
When laminating your photographs, we naturally have the highest quality standards. We use glass with a thickness of 4 mm or more.
You also have the choice between finishing with
- colour-neutral white glass DIAMOND or
- DIAMOND anti-reflective museum glass with a residual reflection of approx. 0.6%.
For lamination behind glass, matt, smooth HAHNEMÜHLE papers are particularly suitable, which achieve impressive results in colour differentiation and colour depth. For photorealistic results, we use, in addition to the basic colours CMY, many light additional colours and up to four black tones in our giclée pigment printing process. Because printing on FineArt paper is particularly rich in detail, even the largest photos behind glass have excellent acuity.
